best movie of the YEAR

We went to see "Role Models" this weekend with our buddies, Jason and Kristi. I have to say - this was the funniest movie I have seen in quite some time. I did not stop laughing from the moment it started. We also watched "Tropic Thunder" this weekend. Not as funny but worth a Netflix rental.

sushi BANZAI

We went out for sushi last night.

We have fallen in love with a little place on Leetsdale called BONZAI (you have to say it like you're practicing karate).

BONZAI Sushi has some of the best darn sushi I have ever had - visit http://www.100rolls.com/ to get an idea of the Japanese deliciousness.

We also stopped by Home Depot to pick a paint color for our basement stairwell. Brian liked Oyster.

We're exciting, I know!

i will never become mrs. matt HOLLIDAY

I heard today that the Rockies might be trading Matt Holliday to the Oakland A's.

I am sad that our team will be losing him, but I'm also sad that I will need to surrender my dream of becoming his wife.

How do I erase this dream vision from my head? We'd be so cute together.

crazy, crazy, FAMILY weekend

My weekend was wonderful.

I spent most of my weekend with my family!

We celebrated Cory's birthday with a Red Robin / Bowling extravaganza and on Sunday we all met at a fundraiser for the Granview HS baseball team (Cory coaches).

We also did some shopping at The Sports Authority. We lost Jacy in the store (my fault, mostly) and she's been saying that she "lost her mommy" since.

The Nordstrom Rack big shoe sales event was this weekend. This sale is HUGE for a big-footed woman like myself. This only happens twice a year. Thank you to Nordstrom Rack for providing stylish shoes to size 11 and above.

Tonight - I did a yoga.

boo! Halloween 2008

boo!
I am a little late in posting any Halloween pictures!
I was the best Dog the Bounty Hunter EVER and Brian was Michael Phelps. We spent time with friends and had way too many pumpkin martinis. When will I learn my lesson ... I'm OLD and I can't drink anymore ?!?
When do we learn this lesson? Let me know so I can look forward to it!

the leaves got RAKED

I LOVE fall!

I love the weather, I love the smell of the air, and I love the color of the leaves.

Brian hates these leaves. He has to rake them!

To create some sort of enjoyment during this chore, we throw dog toys into the HUGE pile of leaves and watch our dogs dig and dig for their toys. It is one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

Tika and Josie are such good dogs - in addition to putting up with our "hiding the toy" game, they also pose in the leaves for their annual portrait.

How did we get so lucky with these pups? Wait, Tika eats poop.

CORY's day

Happy Birthday to my brother Cory!

Today he turns 33. This was Patrick Roy's hockey number ... so this should be a good year for Cory.

Some of Cory's qualities that I would like to point out on HIS special day:

- He has great hair (although it needs to be cut)
- He is a good Dad
- He is good at video games (although he never let me play Mario as a kid)
- He is surprisingly flexible and should pick up yoga
- He is amazing with children
- He is handy and enjoys building things (this would make Grandpa proud)
- He is surprisingly quick
- He is a good coach (did you guys know that he coaches at Grandview High School?)
- He is a great brother and a great friend

Let's celebrate Cory today!

I think I heard something about celebrating with hamburgers at Red Robin. Does life get better than that?

life in PHOTOS

Check out my Picasa page ... random pics of my life and a bunch of babies.

When I image google 'Becky Chandler,' this pic is the fourth hit. I'm pretty impressed with that! No search engine optimization needed!

new PRESIDENT and new CONTACTS

Today we have a new president (well, he's not really our president yet). Congrats to Barack Obama.

I also have new contacts today. Thanks to the doctors at Cherry Creek Optical I can hardly see. Blurry, sore eyes. Lasik is looking like more and more of an option.

Tonight I'm heading to a yoga class at Vital Yoga in Cherry Creek. Good stuff.

Tomorrow is my bro's birthday. He is old and that makes me old.

I'm still depressed that Antonia McDyess will NOT become a Nugget again.

let the BLOGGING begin

Welcome to my first day of blogging!!

On this blog - I guarantee you this:

- You will see many posts about my dogs, Tika and Josie. Tika eats poop and we're working on this.

- You will learn a lot about my boyfriend, Brian. Unlike Tika, he does not eat poop.

- You will be exposed to the highs and the lows that make my life so grand.

- You will learn a lot about me you NEVER wanted to know.

- You will see a lot of posts about random babies. They have meaning in my life and you will learn all about them.

- You will learn about my friends, my family and ME!

Thanks for visiting! If you are reading this you are someone that is a part of my life ... I'm sure your face will one day be on here.

Other than this being my first blog - today is also Election Day! Go Obama. I voted today and my polling location was nice enough to put trail mix in little cups for all voters.

Today is also Matthew Mcconaughey's birthday.

Blog on, Becky
